PICTURE PERCEPTION AND DISCUSSION TEST (PPDT)





HOW IT'S CONDUCTED ?


It is conducted just after the OIR test and is the second test of the screening procedure.A picture will be shown for 30 seconds and thereafter four minutes are given to write a story.After that candidates are made to sit in a semicircle fashion in a group of 15 to 20 and asked to narrate the story one by one bringing out the various characters identified in the picture, their age,gender,mood and the situation perceived,what must have led to situation and the most probable outcome.After all candidates have finished narration the group is expected to discuss and arrive at one common story and at last the have to nominate a candidate to narrate the final common story.

  • Intelligence and imagination in perceiving the stimuli correctly and logically to form a sensible story.

  • Self-confidence in facing the group and the assessors.

  • Power to express your ideas.

  • An urge or movivation to perform and take part.

  • Social adjustment and concern for others views.

  • Assestion and ability to lead the group.

  • Ability to influence the group.
